At HEAL, Carolina supports the organization’s research, advocacy, legislative outreach, and policy initiatives to advance community-led solutions within the food and farm system.

She collaborates closely with HEAL members to elevate their priorities and ensure that frontline voices shape impactful policy initiatives. Carolina’s dedication to health, environmental, and social justice stems from her upbringing as a proud daughter of Mexican migrant farmworkers.

She brings experience advancing health policy initiatives and programs across federal agencies and global health systems, leading multi-sector collaborations, and driving policy solutions that strengthen infrastructure and improve access to essential care and resources for vulnerable populations.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, biking, hiking and spending time with family. Carolina holds a Master of Public Health and is currently based in Washington D.C.
