Good Food Communities

Good Food Communities (GFC) is a comprehensive plan for a just transition that benefits frontline communities, workers, and the planet.

It’s grounded in grassroots organizing, a racial and class analysis, and building people power. The network was built by and for frontline organizations fighting for a new food system that benefits and prioritizes frontline communities, workers, and the planet. It builds on the lessons and momentum of the Good Food Purchasing Program (GFPP), and intends to inform its direction and public procurement at-large around a set of justice-oriented priorities. GFC’s role is to strengthen the shared power, alignment, and strategy of frontline-led coalitions working to transform public food purchasing.
