“HEAL’s SoPL is vital especially in our political climate today because humanity’s destiny is at stake. Education under SoPL should give communities of color the tools needed to mobilize the food and farm justice movement. Being a part of this SoPL will allow me to educate and motivate my fellow community members on how to take back their collective power.”

Violeta Thompson is Warehouse Workers for Justice’s Community Health Navigator. She is an Environmental and Food Justice advocate and the product of a community that has been failed by those in power. Violeta believes that prioritizing our youth’s health is a requirement for our mutable future.
