Rosie comes from a lineage of landworkers and is committed to radically reimagining our food system. As the Director of Operations & Culture, she enhances HEAL’s operations, strengthening its mycelium network and ensuring a rich foundation for HEAL’s work to thrive.

Her advocacy has taken many forms, including: four years managing the Logan Square Farmers Market, producing the annual Chicago Food Policy Summit, organizing young farmers throughout the state of Illinois, and working on farms across the country. She also serves on the board of Advocates for Urban Agriculture.

When not tending to the HEAL ecosystem, Rosie has her hands weaving between the strings of a loom, tending to her community garden, or working with clay. Her flower allies are toloache and cempazuchitl.

She’s currently based in Chicago on unceded land of the Anishinaabe and Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations.
